A tight deadline with 13 full trucks & 18 different sports venues in and around Berlin
A brief introduction
Devid Loss and Alyona Matviyenko have been preparing for the Special Olympics for years. This multi-faceted journey, marked by overcoming numerous obstacles and moments of happiness, is symbolic of the Special Olympics in Berlin. 'It is my personal goal to make the world a little better. Having worked at major sporting events, the Special Olympics may seem smaller and unremarkable, but it is a project with a great future. If we do our best, promote it and make sure it happens, we make the world a little bit better,' says Alyona. 'We're not just a sporting event, but our main focus is on inclusion.'

"Every day brings surprises. It is a global event; it requires a lot of planning and cooperation with reliable people and companies. That is one of the reasons why we contacted Alvero," says Devid. Alyona adds, "I strongly believe that we have a very good working relationship with Alvero. If something is needed or missing, they show real commitment to take care of it for us."
"The best thing about Alvero's presence is the relationship they have built with the employees, because even now, while we are in full operation, I have found people who have come here and just rolled up their sleeves. We had difficulties and they helped us do other things, while at the same time doing their own work. They have an extensive catalog and can meet all of our needs, ranging from simple beer table sets to furnishing lounges for VIPs," Devid stresses."
"The overall logistics were ambitious but successful: 13 trucks were successfully loaded with furniture and transported on time to 18 different sports venues in Berlin. Alyona says, 'Our event may not be well known, but our athletes may have special needs and require certain furniture not offered by everyone.' This was an essential contribution for all athletes and the guest experience, with Alvero demonstrating his excellent furniture knowledge."

The week before launch is the most difficult phase. Flexibility and precision are required. Devid says, "We had some challenges when we wanted to open the event. There was a request for additional furniture because something had changed and it was a fair amount. We called Alvero and they responded in no time: Sure, no problem, we can help. And that's another one of the reasons why Alvero is reliable. Alyona adds, "Replacing certain elements with others, for example, because of the higher quality quantity, is a flexibility and approach that Alvero takes and with which we are very satisfied.
