Femke: “Deze bureaustoel had een kapotte armleuning. In onze werkplaats is hij gereviseerd en schoongemaakt. Zo kan hij weer jaren mee en voorkomen we verspilling.”
Joris: “Een klant zocht extra bureaustoelen. In hun opslag stonden er nog twintig ongebruikt. Dankzij ons meubelmanagementsysteem kwamen ze weer in gebruik.”
Riliënka: “De Pixel Tower is modulair en veelzijdig: van zitplaatsen tot overlegplekken. Zodra hij bij de ene klant klaar is, gaat hij door naar de volgende. Geen stilstand, maar steeds opnieuw duurzaam inzetten.”
Stan: “Tafelbladen van thuiswerkplekken krijgen bij ons een tweede leven. We plaatsen ze op nieuwe onderstellen en zetten ze opnieuw in voor andere werkplekken.”
Jagath: “Deze roldeurkast stond al op verschillende industrieterreinen in kantoorunits. Nu maken we hem klaar voor een volgende bestemming: een dorpshuis hier in de buurt.”
Our CO2 report
In order to make our own bredrive operations more sustainable, we have started to map our emissions. Our CO2 report for 2023 shows where Alvero stands, the emission reductions we have achieved and our goals for the future. Understanding our own emissions is an important step toward our dream: to make the workplace fully circular.
The LCA of a rented office chair: over 30% less emissions
How much more sustainable is renting compared to buying? We commissioned a life cycle analysis (LCA) of our Xenium office chair Alvero owns 2,000 of these chairs, which are used by tenants nationwide. The analysis compares the environmental impact of this chair when you buy it to when you rent it. What does it show? When you rent a Xenium office chair, there is 31.3% less CO2 emissions than when you buy it.
What does CSRD mean for your organization?
The European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requires companies to report their carbon emissions. Although CSRD is aimed primarily at large companies, there are implications for smaller companies as well. Reporting requirements along the value chain may mean that even as an SME you will have to provide concrete figures in the future. Keep in mind changes in prices, products, services or practices of other companies in your chain. These will be implemented to comply with the CSRD.
