CSRD for you
The advent of CSRD requires a significant proportion of Dutch companies to report on their sustainability figures. These European regulations expect your company to act sustainably and responsibly with materials and raw materials in your working environment.
Is CSRD important to me?
Is your company publicly traded? Then it's your turn as early as 2024. There are three criteria for large companies. If you meet two of them, you will have to report on 2024 in 2025.
- More than 250 employees
- More than €50 million in sales
- More than €25 million in assets
Although CSRD is primarily aimed at larger companies, it also affects SMEs. Even if your company falls outside the above criteria, you may be affected by CSRD through the value chain. Sustainability goes beyond just your own operations; the emissions of other companies you work with will also be taken into account.
In addition, you need to take into account price increases and changes in products, services or ways of working that large companies in your chain are implementing in order to comply with CSRD.
CSRD is not relevant to me now, should I do anything yet?
Although your company is not obliged to anything now, in the future the reporting obligation will also apply to small and medium-sized enterprises. It can't hurt to prepare for this now. Having your figures ready now can give you a competitive advantage because large companies in the value chain will be required to submit figures from partners and suppliers as well.
Please consider a furniture management system
For office-based organizations, a furniture management system can give you an edge, as it also makes it easier to keep track of your furniture emissions. Knowing what you have in your home at all times is where it starts. With Alvero Furniture Management, it is even possible to see material passports of furniture.
Work ahead on carbon reporting
If your company provides essential goods or services to CSRD-regulated companies, they may ask for your carbon data. After all, they must report and monitor their entire value chain, including suppliers. Alvero also has a CO2 report. In it, you will find a detailed analysis of our efforts to reduce CO2 emissions and make our operations more sustainable.
